Matt Forbes of the host team Richmond Ciclismo took his second consecutive Virginia State Road Race Title on August 30, in Charles City, Virginia. Forbes took the sprint from a small breakaway group that consisted of Reed Tanger (Evolution) and Zach Zimmerman (Bike Doctor/Cannondale). The women's title was won by Michelle Holland (JRVS) in a bunch sprint.
