Where: Fort Detrick, Frederick, Maryland (This is an active U.S. Army Installation). Expect to take 5 minutes at the guard shack to register with security (Don't miss your race, come early).

Directions: From the East- Take US 70 West to MD Rt 15 North, then take 7th St Exit, ) go Right (West) at the bottom of ramp (pass McDonalds on right and continue straight get into right lane for entrance into Ft Detrick, MD. Course located on the Fort Detrick, MD. Easy access from the North, East, South, or West. From Washington via I270; from Baltimore via I70; from North VA via MD15 or PA via MD 15 or 81.

Course: Exciting criterium course with more turns than any other criterium in the area (this is not an industrial park criterium), approx. 1.2 miles long with both left and right turns. Fairly flat but with small (big ring) grade changes that will take their toll along with accelerating out of the turns. This active U.S. Army installation will provide a full day of racing to allow best breakdown of fields. Safe course with challenging sections that allow breaks to form.

Registration: Registration opens at 7am and closes 15 min prior to each event. All riders must have a USCF license. Pre-registration using a 1999 USCF Athletes Standard Release Form is encouraged and must be postmarked no later than 6 September 1999 or a $5 late fee will be assessed. Late fee of $5 for day of race registration.

Second race for $5 if you send it in with your pre-registration (categories are set up so you can recover and race again, just do it) or it will be $10 the day of the race. $5 unattached rider fee. USCF one day licenses will be available for $5. Free lap rule in effect until 8 laps to go. Minimum field for each race is 20 riders; maximum is 100. Promoter has the right to change anything. Race times are approximate. NO refunds.

Notes: This is an active US Army Installation and per IAW Army Regulation 190-22 and 210-10, entry of persons or vehicles constitutes consent to search by proper authorities at any time. Please be courteous with the guards and follow the speed limits. You must stay in designated areas for warm ups and parking or you may be towed or escorted off the Installation for the day.
