Course 0.8 mile 3 turns Points race Format Points race four places (5,3,2,1) each five laps. Double points on final lap. One point per lap on all other laps. (Remember Westgate?)

Directions I-270 to exit 11 (local lanes!) After exiting, stay in right lane to intersection with Md 355. Turn right and proceed approximately 0.8 miles to Chestnut St. Turn Right into Agricultural Center grounds. Park in designated area. Carpool and take the HOV lanes!

Rationale: My goal here is to promote a low cost, _training_ race. When I moved here 8 years ago, I trained at the Westgate points race twice a week. What made that race special was the opportunity to practice ten or more race finishes every night. It wasn't the speed (although that was nice) --anyone can go out and do intervals. It was the actual sprinting that was most educational... (Those of you who know me might argue that I learned nothing, but you should have seen how bad I was then!)
