Directions
The course is approximately 15 miles southwest of Harrisonburg VA.
From Northern VA:
Take I-66 West to I-81 South. Take exit 240 (Rt. 257 West). Follow
directions below.
From Richmond:
Take exit 240 (Rt. 257 West). Follow directions below.
From Route 257 West, exit 240:
Take Rt. 257 West to Rt. 42 North. Turn right on Rt. 42 North to Dayton.
Turn left on Rt. 257 West. Go approximately 6 miles to the small town of
Ottobine. Bear left, continuing on Rt. 257 West. Go 3 miles to Briery
Branch and follow signs to the parking area.
Course
Course is a 9.5 mile point to point time trial/hill climb. Elevation
gain is approximately 2500 vertical feet with the majority of the climb
concentrated in the last 4.5 miles. The course is a paved rural road
with very little traffic. Recommended gearing - 39/23.
Notes
- $675 cash & prizes. All prize monies are based on a 15 rider minimum
per individual field; otherwise, prize fund is 60% of entries.
- Entry fees include $2 USCF insurance fee. $5 one day USCF license for
Citizen riders not included in entry fee. There will be a $5 late fee
for entries postmarked after May 7th. Unattached riders add $5 (no
unattached fee for Citizen / Cat 5 entrants).
- Field limit for all categories - 60. Riders under age 18 require
parent's signature to compete.
- Registration opens at 9:00 am and closes 15 minutes before the start
of each race.
